RuralClick: What our Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers RuralClick's treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect when you are on the RuralClick site (sometimes referred to as Portal), and when you use RuralClick's services.
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that RuralClick does not own or control, or to people that RuralClick does not employ or manage.
RuralClick collects personally identifiable information when you register for a RuralClick Membership account, when you use certain RuralClick products or services, when you visit RuralClick pages, and when you enter promotions or contests.
RuralClick may also receive personally identifiable information from our business partners.
When you register with RuralClick, we ask for your name, email address, birth date, gender, post code, occupation, industry, and personal interests. Once you register with RuralClick and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
RuralClick’s main purpose for gathering information is to fulfil your requests for certain products and services, and to contact you about specials and new products. We firmly believe in an ‘opt-in’ policy, and will very strictly keep communication to a minimum. When we do communicate with you we hope that it will be received as either informative, or of interest. Our policy is to develop a Community Portal for the UK Financial Services Industry, and in so doing present ourselves as passively as possible.
RuralClick will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.
RuralClick will send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
1. We have your consent to share the information; 2. We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; 3. We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of RuralClick to provide a product or service to you; (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.); 4. We are forced to respond under English Law for any legitimate request by the authorities with which we must comply; or 5. We find that your actions on our web sites violate the RuralClick Terms of Service or any of our usage guidelines for specific products or services.
RuralClick gives you the ability to edit your RuralClick Account Information and preferences at any time, including whether you want RuralClick to contact you about specials and new products – using the opt-in and opt-out self selecting section of the Membership pages.
You may request deletion of your RuralClick Membership account by contacting us via the contact form on RuralClick portal.We will clearly confirm this request by contacting you to ensure that the request is bona fide.
Your RuralClick Account Information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
RuralClick may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
